Virtual *Live* Figure Drawing Sessions
Wednesday nights 6:40 - 8:40 EDST, on Zoom;  May 6 - 27, 2020 (4 Weeks)

Virtual *live* life drawing is the latest thing! And the next best thing to the real deal. We’ll start with quick warm-up gesture drawings, & work up to a one-hour pose. We are lucky to have Mikki M., leading us!  Aside from being a great model, she is experienced at this, including the tech. To give us all a chance to get the hang of the tech aspects of it, there will be no instruction for this next 4 week series.

Participants can share their work at the end of the session. Our first 3 week session was a huge success! I’ll hold off on offering instruction til our next series, however.
Note: the model will be clothed, due to on-line streaming rules.

This is the second of 2 on-line classes designed to help keep the homebound sane, connected, & creatively flourishing through these tough, chaotic, challenging, upside down, viral times.

Classes will be held on Zoom, and start at 40 minutes past the hour, EDST. Students are welcome from far & wide!  [Scroll down for more Zoom info.]

More info for the curious:

Our huge experiment has been a great success, so far! *Live* on-line modeling is hard to find. Most on line figure drawing sessions use photos …not quite the same as the real thing. So, we are on the cutting edge!

For now, our model will be Mikki Marvel. She’s a great model who has experience with this exact thing, and knows how to do the tech.

While it won’t be exactly like real life, Zoom has pretty good quality video, compared to some others.  The visuals will be a bit flattened; we can call it “stylized”.  There will be plenty of contrast, though, to allow for sufficient 3-D modeling of the form.

As I find more models able to do the tech, I’ll add some variety.

You will need a web-cam, of course.  A big screen is recommended, so a computer or TV would be better than iPad or tablet. Stable internet is advised.

Maximum of 20 participants.
Tuition: $49.69 For 4 sessions (includes PayPal fee)

If you can’t make it to all 4 sessions, you may apply unused funds to future classes. Of course, if we are unable to to deliver for some reason, I will reschedule or refund your unused portions.

General Zoom Info:
For those new to Zoom, we’ll meet at 6:25 EDST for the first session to go over Zoom etiquette, so we’re all on the same page.

New to Zoom?
Please download the Zoom app well before class begins.  It’s free & really easy to use.
But: It is still wise to watch a Zoom Tutorial or 2, as well. Here are some pretty good ones:

Brief overview for beginners (official Zoom video):

This one’s more in-depth, and slower. (Start tutorial at 2:35 minutes,  and end at 4:35 minutes, to avoid unnecessary info.):
